Daflorn (UK) Ltd is the sole distributor in the UK for Daflorn Probiotic Honey, which is produced in Bulgaria by Daflorn Natural Products

We are a new company based in Kew, Richmond, Surrey. We are a small team interested in Probiotics that came across Daflorn on a trip to Bulgaria in 2007.

Daflorn have been producing a number of natural probiotics since 1999.
Bulgaria has been at the forefront of probiotics development ever since a Nobel Laureate Eli Metchnikoff suggested at the beginning of the 20th century that it would be possible to modify the gut flora and to replace harmful microbes with “friendly” bacteria.

Metchnikoff’s observations were that rural populations in Bulgaria who lived on milk fermented by lactic acid (including yogurt) lived longer.

Lactobacillus Bulgaricus is still regarded as a significant probiotic.

Daflorn has substantial research facilities in Bulgaria where clinical trials are carried out with a range of products containing probiotics and symbiotics, which have led to Daflorn exporting to a number of countries
